If Powell River is the 'Pearl of the Sunshine Coast', then Savary Island is the diamond. A gorgeous vacation retreat for thousands in the summer months, the 7.5km long Island is also home to around 100 people year round.
Residents and vacationers alike say the Island has the warmest water north of California and some of the best beaches available on the Canadian west coast. Swimming, boating and beach relaxation is very popular during the summer months, with pickup beach soccer games even breaking out.
The Island is densely subdivided in to about 1490 lots, the vast majority are 50ft wide. Savary Shores has about 200 lots that are wider (typically 75-80ft).
